Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a method of scanning a person’s body using magnetic fields and radio waves to obtain high quality images that help to diagnose a wide range of conditions. At the end of the MRI, you receive scans, conclusion and further recommendations. The waiting time for results depends on many factors and can range from several days to several weeks. On average, it takes 10-14 days to get MRI results, unless they are needed urgently. The results would be sent directly to the consultant who ordered the scan.
