    What is the main difference between generalized anxiety disorder and phobic disorder?

    Generalized anxiety disorder means unreasonable persistent anxiety that is constantly directed at many life circumstances. Overwhelming anxiety, tension, and fear experienced by patients with anxiety disorders is accompanied by physical ailments, such as a nervous stomach, shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat. Depressive disorders are commonly diagnosed in patients with anxiety.

    Phobic anxiety disorder is a neurotic state in which obsessive fears (phobias), thoughts, memories arise. All these possession are unpleasant, and patients cannot kick them independently.

    That is, a person with generalized anxiety disorder is worried too much about everything, while in case of phobic frustration, a person is obsessed by with a concrete haunting fear.
