The placenta is designed to supply the developing foetus with nutriment and oxygen. The onset of its growth begins right from the conceiving. Placenta reaches its total capacity in the third month (after 12 weeks). In some women, the tissue acquires full capacity and capable by 8-13 week. Placenta monitors the response and release of the biologically-active agents that are vital for the childbearing and oversee the infant.
