    Why does my sweat smell like vinegar?

    #65734 Reply

    Each of us has his unique body smell because of the sweat. The smell of sweat changes under the influence of various factors: age, lifestyle, body condition, type of physical activity, weather conditions. The unwanted odor is a consequence of the activity of microorganisms that live on our skin. Sweat can smell like vinegar due to numerous reasons:

    • Hormonal changes in the body;
    • Increased blood sugar (hyperglycemia) or diabetes mellitus;
    • Lack of vitamins of group B and D;
    • Diseases of the bronchi and lungs;
    • Mastopathy;
    • Stress and depression, increased excitability;
    • The prevalence of acute and sour food in the diet;
    • Non-observance of hygiene rules;
    • Admission of NSAIDs, antipsychotics, antidepressants and other medications.
